touch pad does not right click and does not drag with 2 finger for HP DV5

I install ubuntu twice before because i couldnt find a answer to the touch pad problem

My laptop touch pad is one huge button all together
i cannot right click to copy and paste, and i cant drag with 2 finger.

Last time someone told me to go to sudo and type some stuff i end it up having to format and reinstall ubuntu for the third time can someone help thank you.

This problem is still present in maverick. Can't middle-click, either.

You have ran the command on a completely different system! One is a crappy macbook and the other is an HP. Which system are you having issues with....
