Ubuntu 10.10 Not Suspending/Hibernating on Lenovo Thinkpad

Neither my suspend or hibernate functions are working, it attempts to, fails, and asks me to log back in.

User period3 also reported 'suspend' bug.

What exactly do you mean removing the device?
