can konqueror be used with ubuntu 7.04

As a newcomer to ubuntu I would like to know if konqueror works with ubuntu 7.04. I keep reading about kde desktop but I'm really not sure what that is. Can anyone enlighten me please

kde is a desktop environment, it basicically provides a different look and different programs. ubuntu uses the gnome desktop environment. you can install any kde application in ubuntu/gnome though just fine, you can find konqueror in the repositorys and cal install it via synaptic or by running
sudo apt-get install konqueror
