dont understand how to install makev for blu-ray

i am trying to run blu-ray on my computer which has a blu-ray player in ubuntu10.10 i downloaded the makeV link but i dont understand how to install it can someone guide me through this, or is there an actual blu-ray player like powerdvd etc
