beryl not working properly

hi ,
i currently installed beryl it was not working with the ATI diverse so i installed XGL server and everything starts working fine except the emrald themes and also i got an error while typing this command :
 $ glxinfo | grep direct

Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":1.0".
direct rendering: No

can anyone help me regarding this . i want to use emrald themes desperately !!!!!!

Which version of Ubuntu are you using?

Have you tried installing Compiz with Compiz-Fusion? Beryl is now discontinued and Compiz has taken its place
