Increasing Monitor Refresh Rate

Asked by Rob

I've just installed the latest ubuntu distro and downloaded all the updates.

But there are no options to change the monitor refresh rate where there is just a default of 60 (screen res is fine - I have three or four options).

I know the graphics card and monitor will work at 100 but, as I'm new to linux and ubuntu, I don't know what to do next.

Can SKS help a newbie

TIA

Rob

Hi https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FixVideoResolutionHowto is mainly about screen resolution, but is contains some information on refresh rates, and should explain how to fix the issue.

Obrigado
