Create Document Broken

Asked by Youssef

Hello, i noticed that when I right click and then choose "Create Document" in Nautilus i don't get any options except one for an empty file, but in Kubuntu I do get a list of options. There is a solution for this, it seems that this list is based on a folder in /home called "Templates", and for example if you have a files named "OpenOffice Document" in it that will appear in the list. SO why don't you Ubuntu developers insert a few files in there and have the list working by default ?! This is useful for people who create the same type of document over and over.

There are existing files in the Documents folder in your home directory. I think they are wrongly placed and should be moved into the Templates directory.
I would suggest you create a bug report for this.

I don't see a "Documents" folder in my home directrory. Yes you're right, I think we ought to trace and fix the bug causing this.
