Joomla 1.6: Login

Asked by peter

Hi

In the frontpage I have a Log in. After the Login a new article should be shown. How can I do this?

In the Module manager I have a module called Login. The Login Redirection Page doesn't show the new article.

How can I choose the action which should be run after the login? Thanks a lot.

I asked the same question in the Joomla forum.
Peter

What reason is there to change the status of the question to 'Solved', and at the same time enter a message in the thread saying 'Not solved'?

If you have got a solution (e.g. through the Joomla forum or by your own effort) it would be beneficial for other persons to post it here. So someone with a similar problem can find your solution when searching in launchpad.

If you have not got a solution, flagging the question as 'solved' will drastically reduce the probability that someone who could help will look into this question ever again.

You're right.

It is not solved, but I don't get an answer.

"It is not solved, but I don't get an answer."

You only waited one day. Some questions are answered in hours or faster, but many take longer. If you reopen the question, there is a good chance that some knowledgeable person will see it and answer it.

I have looked around a bit, and I do no more believe that launchpad.net/ubuntu is the right address for asking questions about Joomla, as Joomla is not (not yet?) contained in Ubunto distributions.

There is not much to find about Loomla on Ubuntu except the Community Documentation https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Joomla

So you best refer to the Joomla community, there are several different forums where you can post your questions. And please be patient, not all questions on a forum get answered within few minutes, but sometimes it takes even weeks until someone comes up with the solution for your problem.

Google search for 'Joomla Forum' gives among others the following sites:
http://forum.joomla.org
http://www.joomlaportal.de
http://www.joomla-downloads.de/forum
http://www.joomlaxtreme.com/forum
http://www.joomla.ch/forum
