I cannot find Open Office 2.3 in repositories. 2.0.2 is latest version. Why?

Asked by svaughan

I want to download Open Office.org version 2.3, the latest version. The repository shows version 2.0.2 to be the latest version and the one that is installed on my machine. How do I load version 2.3?

After a release has been released, the packages are, generally speaking, not updated for new features, but only for security flaws. Gutsy is the only ubuntu release that uses ooo2.3 at the moment.
