need help with cannon i450

have a cannon i450 and the software that came with it. how do i install the printer driver from the software cd?

Hi,
You don't use the software cd at all in Ubuntu. Install your printer from adminstration -> printing

If it doesn't work after that, you may need to use synaptic to install some extra print drivers. You'd be looking to install CUPS stuff.

my driver wasn't listed. typed cups in search in synaptic but not sure what exactly to look for.

i installed i560 driver and everything seems to be working properly now. thanks again for all the help!
