Hello,

Windows will always (default) use the MBR (it'll never give you a choice where to install the bootloader at install). So, if you'd like dual booting (win or linux) install win first THEN ubuntu that will give the option where you'd like grub installed; obviously in this situation you'd like to leave the MBR alone and install grub ON ubuntu / . Grub is v smart and detect win and at boot time offers you the choice of win or ubuntu.

Hope this helps.
