Can't access the printer due to the error "CUPS server could not be contacted"

Asked by eddie

My problem is a bit different with other guys. My OS is Ubuntu 7.04, my laptop is lenovo T61.

First, my printer service worked very well before until yesterday, but I didn't make any change to my system.
Second, I tried to restart my cups service by " sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart, but no response at all, no error message, no successful message...
And I also tried to access the web: localhost:631, it seems the web doesn't exist at all.
Finally I tried "ps aux |grep cupsd" and got the response of "eddie 10025 0.0 0.0 2896 776 pts/0 S+ 16:53 0:00 grep cupsd". It seems quite normal, nothing strange.
But when I tried to access "Administrator-printing", I got the error message "CUPS server could not be contacted".
Anyone can help me?

Hey, guys

The problem is solved. The only thing I've done is reinstalling the cupsys and cupsys-common. That's it.

But quite strange is I've already done this yesterday but it didn't work. Seems sometimes you need a little bit luck.

Anyway, thanks a lot.
