Did you install Ubuntu alongside windows? If you did, then you'll need to use the livecd to delete the ubuntu partition and add that space back into your windows partition (you can also use software such as partition magic todo this). If you just installed Ubuntu without resizing your partition, then you should just install windows and let it use the entire disk.

I've done that.
Deleting the partition using the LiveCD.
But it produces a problem when you restart your computer.
Stuck with an error on GRUB and can't start Windows at all.
Is there a way to uninstall GRUB?

Get your windows CD, and type 'fdisk /mbr' at the recovery console.

Many thanks - BUT?
What do you refer to when you say livecd? Is that the cd I created to install ubuntu?

Thank you David Portwood. My problem has been resolved with your help. However, the "fdisk /mbr" entry was invalid with my version of Windows XP and I had to use "fixmbr" (with some trepidation, mind you, after I got a message that the command could have dire consequences with my HDD.

Also for others that may run across this support request that want to run DOS based games, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOSBox works pretty well, and is in the repositories.
