wireless stoped working with Dapper

Asked by BMB

I had Ubuntu Breezy(5.10) installed on my PC. It recgonized my USR5416 PCI wireless card automaticaly (thogh I had to enter the SSID during instalation). Great.
But....

I did a clean install of Xubuntu 6.06, and I can't get it to recgonize my card. This happened both with the live CD and the Alt. one.

I then tried doing a clean Ubuntu Breezy install, and upgrading. On breezy the card worked fine, but after the update (which of course it managed to do over the internet using the wireless card), I rebooted when it told me to, and...

I tried a clean install of both Ubuntu 6.06 and Kubuntu 6.06, and on both it dosen't work.

I found the soloution!!!
It's at http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthre...ghlight=acx111, somthing to do with the wrong firmware being used by default.
(I have no idea where to start, but this issue should be taken care of, so the default works)

I will finally have internet, after about 2 monthes!!!
