How to install Baldurs Gate with wine?

Asked by Sbn

Anybody who have tried to install Baldurs Gate(II) in Ubuntu?
I open the .iso in archive manager and open the Baldur.exe;1 file in wine. The game's splash screen appears with music and the options "Install" and "Exit" available. When I click "Install" the splash disappears and nothing happens...
There are other files in the .iso, such as autorun.exe and setup.exe but nothing happens when I click these.

for anything wine related consult the wine applicaion DB

http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=272

by the looks of it Baldurs Gate doesn't work well in wine at all.

Seems to work better with Cedega (commercial): http://cedegawiki.sweetleafstudios.com/wiki/Baldur's_Gate_2. From what i read, far from perfect also.
