LogMeIn.com ActiveX not available in Linux

I use a very popular programme called LogMeIn (www.LogMeIn.com) to access a computer remotely. It requires an ActiveX control to work properly, and I do not think such a thing is available in Linux. Are there people who write these things for Linux?

LogMeIn is a closed source product that relies on Windows API's and functions to provide remote login, Linux support is non-existent for such products.

There is, however, the option of using VNC, an open source cross platform alternative that does a much better job of things. If you do not have a static IP address there are free services like no-ip.com that would enable you to VNC in to something friendly like myhome.no-ip.com and then login to VNC.

I know this answer is a year late, but:

LogMeIn.com offers a Java client for Linux clients that works just as well as their ActiveX Control (it's a little bit uglier but just as functional). In fact, they also have a Firefox extension for Windows. I am of the opinion that their FF extension seems more polished than the ActiveX Control, but I am biased.

Thanks for the response. Actually, I find the Java client quite irritating; whenever I try to do <Alt><Tab> it takes me out of the logmein window. That's what I don't like about it.
