can't install ubuntu 7.04

when i booted the system with ubuntu 7.04 cd, it will show couple of choices. when i choosed start or install ubuntu, there was an error saying that "/bin/sh:can't access tty; job control turned off".
what does it mean?
how can i solve this problem?

hmm, did you check the cd when u burn it? you might have errors on the installation media. some of the burning software out there can't produce error-free installation media from iso images. From Linux, K3B is a nice software for burning, and from winblows, Nero.
