installation of themes in Ubuntu 10.04

I am using Ubuntu 10.04 an i am unable to install themes which are down loaded from http://art.gnome.org/themes/

Hello,

Right click on the desktop and then the tab themes. You can download more and install from here.

There may be some requirements about your themes. For example some themes need gtk engines, so you should install these engines. For example, if you need to install murrine engine:

sudo apt-get install gtk2-engines-murrine

Please read the install guide. If they are requirements, please install them first. Then try to install your theme.

You can right click the desktop -> change background
Click the theme tab then the install button, then point to the file you downloaded.
