lexmark E120 laser printer

Asked by WILSON LACERDA JUNIOR

 To Ubuntu support team,

I bought a lexmark printer model E120, very good printer (a laser one) and a would like to install it in my ubuntu O.S.
In the lexmark web site, there is a .deb driver file for E120 printer, but I could not install it properly.
My question is: There will be a update for cups printers data bank to include E120?

 Best Regards,

According to www.linuxprinting.org this printer works with the pxlmono driver, see http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Lexmark-E120n.
You should be able to use your printer using the generic pxlmono driver included in Ubuntu: Generic > PCL6/PCL XL printer > pxlmono.

Wilson,

Use the Optra E driver and your printer will work fine.

Let the system choose the recommended driver.

Just in case my system choose the "Lexmark Optra E Foomatic/hpijs (recommended)"

That's it, print a test page.
