I am using 7.0.4 version. I tried updating the ubuntu online, the same way we do windows online update. And when i say "It freezes" i mean the screen freezes and i am not able to use mouse and keyboard and also not able to do anything.

Hi:

ok, can you do alt+ctrl+back space?
or alt+ctrl+F1
does that work?
did it finish the update?
do you remember which package it was updating?

Nikgenius, at startup after bios messages, when you see Grub, can you press "ESC" key and select "Recovery mode"...?
