wrap workspace in gnome

Asked by mezzmerized17

I am not a big GNOME fan (or KDE really). I prefer XFCE.

However, I have recently reinstalled Ubuntu Studio and I do like the dark theme.

Several months ago, I replaced ubuntu-desktop with xubuntu-desktop and something broke (granted, it may have been unrelated to xubuntu-desktop package. I don't really know).

In XFCE and KDE, I know how to set workspaces to wrap when the mouse pointer reaches screen edge.

As I understand, this is a property of the window manager.

What is the preferred method of achieving workspace wrap in GNOME?

Am I failing to see this functionality in Metacity, or is the only solution to replace the WM?

Thanks, Dave. I had seen this post in the past but couldn't find it recently.
Brightside is exactly what I am looking for. Thanks for making Gnome suck a little less for me ;)
Wallpapoz required Python Imaging Library, which gave a lengthy list of errors ending with "error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1", at which point I abandoned that option.

Thanks much
