I've never really tested this, but there's a guide here:

thnx but i couldn't figure it out, anything as easy a wubi would be awesome. But i understand that could be a lot to ask, so if anyone has tried something that works, if they could post that plus instructions, that would be wornderful

mferrari, the floppy solution you mentioned is probably this ...

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BootFromCD

Browse down to the bottom of that page - section called "BIOS does not have the option of booting from CD/DVD drive". The instructions are pretty straight forward, but do yell if you don't understand something.

Hope this helps! :)

i think im just gonna format the hard drive, but i would like to know if that will delete the bios, if it does i wont do it

Formatting your hard drive won't delete your BIOS, but it will delete your data. So be sure to take backup first of any data you want to keep.

How much memory is on your PC?

You may want to install Xubuntu instead - it requires less memory to run. Check it out: http://www.xubuntu.org/
