Ubuntu

wg111v2 problem. found on hardwear, but not working. New to Ubuntu. On feisty.

I'm new to Ubuntu. I've managed to get most thinks working. However I do not seem able to get my WG111v2 to operate wireless with DG834Gv3. From bits that I've read on the help pages it should just work straight out of the box. I don't know where I'm going wrong. I'm no computer wizard, just an ordinary home user, so any advice needs to be in simple steps please!
The router works via LAN connection. I do not get any flashing on the USB light when it is plugged in.

have you tryed ndiswrapper and restricting the default drivers? , i had to do that at first but now i use the "wicd manager" and i dont know if you need ndiswrapper for it
wicd works better for me
