windows mobile 2003 on qket palm used as usb gprs modem

Asked by massa gio

Have a qtek 2020 pocket pc wich install windows mobile 2003.
I would like to use it as a remote modem to connect my ubuntu desktop pc to the internet through usb port.
I can configure the qtek as a usb gprs modem and have access to my internet provider.
What I need on my desktop side (driver, script, ...) to make the
connection active?
As anyone any experience on that?
Any suggestion is welcome.

Hi,

>>wvdial<< (terminal) is capable doing this GPRS/EDGE/UMTS dialup job. More information can be found (on the terminal):

man wvdialconf

man wvdial.conf

gnome-ppp is a graphical frontend for wvdial.
