Qualcomm Gobi 2000

Asked by Lyndon Buckley

When i was trying Ubuntu from the Live USB i was able to connect to te internet via my internal 3G modem (Qualcomm Gobi 2000)

After having installed Ubuntu to HDD, it no longer appears in my network connections.

Any ideas?

Should I install something?

I am having the same problem.

I have however had Ubuntu installed for a while now and the 3g capability seems to come and go as it pleases.

One day you are able to connect, the next, only wifi and ethernet is available. The next day its back.

I dual boot with Windows 7 and it works perfectly in Windows so the hardware is fine.

I also am able to find the modem when I run the command: lsusb

Can anyone help here as it would be really handy to get this resolved.

My Netbook is an HP mini 210.

I am a complete newby when it comes to Linux but I'm keen to learn. I look forward to any correspondence.
