First consult this page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs

If nothing seem to work, you can try Ndiswrapper around the native Windows driver. Search for "ndiswrapper" in System->Administration->Synaptic package Manager.

Here's more information about Ndiswrapper: http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/joomla/

Hope this helps!

well no it diddnt help ive been using the wifidoc for my litttlenetwork adapter and i got to a point where im stuck and i dont think i have ndiswrapper(searched for it last night)

here is where i got to...

Step 5 - Create and install the driver using make

Make the driver with the make command:

user@ubuntu:~/RT73_Linux_STA_Drv1.0.3.6/Module$ make clean
user@ubuntu:~/RT73_Linux_STA_Drv1.0.3.6/Module$ make

This will take several minutes. There will be warnings, but there can be no errors or the build will not complete.

o and this is the link im using
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Device/Belkin_F5D7050_ver_3000_%28Ralink_rt73_driver%29?highlight=%28WifiDocs%2FDevice%29

also thx for your post

Well, I don't know what happened there. Did you perform all the previous steps - including the change of permissions?

If you can't get the driver compiled and set up, try Ndiswrapper instead.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Gflo for more information if necessary.
