Upgraded to fiesty now wireless no longer works

Asked by NeilS

I recently upgraded from Dapper to Edgy to Feisty. My Netgear card was working until the first reboot after the completed upgrade.

When I use the manual configuration it does not see any access points when I enable roaming it does see them but will not connect.
Also In Dapper my card was listed as eth1 in Feisty it is listed as eth1 and wmaster0

below is additional information

Thanks
Neil

I have a similar problem, see https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/12809 where i left my configuration.

Try booting kernel 2.6.15-27-386 and see if works. In my case i still running 2.6.15.27 couse after kernel probaly changed the way they work with wireless or the feist bugged the network... I don't know.

I edited grub also to default to the 2.6.15-27-386 kernel

code:
sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst

note that the 2.6.20 is below 2.6.17
