I have failed to install ubantu in my pc

I have received a 32bit ubantu installer cd. My pc is Intel celeron,224mb of ram and two hard disk installed (40gb and 4.3 gb).I have also installed windows xp service pack 2 in my system. I want to install ubantu as a secondary operating system. I was trying to install ubantu in my second hard drive(4gb).In the screen appear to one to seven steps,I was succesfully go to the 7th step that is installation step,but the last step installing operation system the system hang in complete on 15%,I have try many times but ony 15%of installation process completed and computer hanged.the file detecting message appear in instal pop up window ,but no further progress.What can I do?

You'd better make sure that you are installing a minimal version of Ubuntu, otherwise 4Gb might not be enough.
