how do i get back to the right desktop (maverick)

Asked by Mathrys83 on 2010-10-22

i was messing around looking at my options in my default install of maverick.

i some how (yea i know i did it) managed to AFTER booting the ubuntu login GUI it goes to a single white console window in the upper left corner with my default desktop image as the bg. i can command line run firefox.

i have tried looking in the /etc/default/grub file

i am kinda familiar with command lines thanks to dos, but this is feeling like a lot more than im used to and i dont want to have to reinstall....
