Add/Remove Programs running

I'm trying to run the Adept Manager/Add/Remove Programs and it is saying it already is running, I go into Konsole and type ps aux |less, or top to get a list of the heavier processes running and cannot find adept manager running. I also rebooted to try to stop it...And no success. Can someone help me?

Try running this command:
sudo rm -f /var/cache/apt/archives/lock
