Audacity to be part of Install in future?

Based on the needs in my university environment, I hope there is the possibility of including Audacity in the family of software packeaged with Ubuntu. It would help round off the offering very nicely. Is that a plan forhte future?

I think you may register a blueprint as a suggestion and not as a question because this is a really difficult answer now.
