Final draft6 doesn't work with ubuntu

Asked by lee vought

I have the program final draft6. It's a screenwriting and playwriting program. It is an .exe file and doesn't work with ubuntu. Is there a converter program I can get for it?

what do you mean app? Final draft is a word processor designed for screenwriting and script writing.

You answered the question :)

app == application

Does openoffice not do the job?

Not really. All my scripts and plays are in final draft format. When I open them in open office they are scrambled and unreadable. If I can convert them to openoffice I can work on them but I'd prefer using final draft. :)

If you have finaldraft 7.1 it works ok in wine:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=11190

So run:

sudo add-apt-repository; sudo apt-get -qq update; sudo apt-get install -y wine

Then right click the exe and open it with wine. It should install ok

Can you help with this problem?
