Thought so, you don't have an entry for your CD.

run:

gksudo gedit /etc/fstab

add this line:

/dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto,exec,utf8 0 0

Save the new file and reboot, should be ok.

you run the command starting gksudo in terminal, the rest is self explanatory

ok i'll explain

gksudo gedit /etc/fstab

opens the file in a text editor, you then need to add the line which you have incorrectly interpretted as a command DESPITE me saying:

"add this line"

Which is clearly an instruction to add the line to the file......

JEFF HEMEKE (rokmonstr9) said :

after i did that in termenal, i added that line to the file that poped up, saved the file, and rebooted, still no cdrom, sorry i mistook your instructions. do you know what to do now?

I'd possibly check for a firmware upgrade (risky). All I can say is log a bug
