USB Keyboard Problems in 10.10
I have a dual-boot setup with Windows Vista 64-bit & Ubuntu 10.10 AMD64 edition
Motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3L
BIOS is Award Modular Bios Version 6.0 PG
Keyboard is a SIATEK Eclipse II [PK02AU] USB Keyboard
Keyboard works fine in Vista and during boot up until I select an O/S from the grub menu. I CAN use the keyboard to select an O/S. (I have heard of a similar bug where users cannot select an option from the menu, and also where legacy USB support had not been enabled in the BIOS) But immediately after selecting Ubuntu, I lose keyboard functionality. If I select Vista, I have no problems. The keyboard worked with Ubuntu up until the first boot after install, and worked throughout the install.
I have another system with the same setup with the same version and no issues, the only hardware difference is the motherboard, so I'm betting its still an issue related to the BIOS, although I have already enabled usb support for the keyboard, as well as the mouse and for legacy mass storage devices. (Technically the wording in Integrated Peripherals, did not mention LEGACY.)
Is there something I'm missing?
