cannot boot error id 1000

After installing ubuntu with WUBI from windows it asked to reboot. I rebooted the system and it started installing.meanwhile i disconnected internet.
after iunstaling UBUNTU, when loading the ubuntu it is displaying a dos screen. after entering login & password details it is saying " unable to load error id 1000"
can anyone help me with this issue or should i try again installing the ubuntu.
I thought that ubuntu was similar to windows user friendly by looking at the pictures and thought of trying it and then shift to it. also provide me if there is any book to completely learn the ubuntu..

I'd attempt a reinstall as it is a fresh install you have nothing to lose. Make sure you MD5 test the wubi installer before using it

I agree with actionparsnip, and this time don't disconnect from the Internet while installing.
