ANTI-VIRUS

Asked by Benjamin

I had the experience of something in my system causing RAM usage to increase to maximum and also the SWAP file steadily increasing in usage size, making the computer useless. After re-installation the problem is no longer there.

But I want to know, is there an anti-virus for Linux that PREVENTS infection, not just detection after the event?

Thanks
