Unable to install Ubuntu 9.04, i get the screen saver after giving password mouse doesnt work

I have 3 issue or problem in my Gateway 6020gz

1. Still not able to install ubuntu 10.4 as display going blank. More than 6 times updated and foreced to go back to 9.10 version.

2. Machine going to screensaver mode and asking for password but cursor ceses to function.

3. Recovery mode dhcp not connecting in wifi network.

Hope to expect a solution for all the three at the earliest.

If you use hibernate / suspend then you may need some commands to make the driver be unloaded then reloaded on wakeup so the hardware works.
