Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Convert Root to Raid 5

Asked by tomdean

I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS desktop. The only disk (160GB SATA) is dedicated to Ubuntu, ext3 partitions.
How do I convert to ext4? Or, should I?
I have two additional 160GB SATA drives I want to use in a raid 5 setup.
How do I add these drives and initialize raid 5?
I read something about raid 1, using dd to duplicate the first drive to the second, but, I can not find it.
Is there a procedure to a similar thing only convert to raid 5?
