Emulator GUI, XP to Ubuntu

Asked by Pepe

In Google, there are at least forty pages in answer to the inquiry of "install programs on Ubuntu." They all putz around about games, rocket trajectories, intricate command lines for geeks only. I just want to load three programs and use those for awhile, I will be learning some things in my Ubuntu computer. I already use it for my blogs and email.

However, I am an ordinary computer user. Microsoft is well aware of what this is. Not Ubuntu, the geeks control and they feel high and mighty with what they know. I think they should use what they want to, but shouldn't we, ordinary users, have the right to use what we want to? Yes, we have been spoiled by Windows.

They tell me that Ubuntu is not capable of doing it. Someone please tell me. Thanks
