download manager

im not sure if this is right place but here i go.i have tryed several download managers but they all keep saying this when i open up the software...the files are either damage or unknow format can some help me make sense of all of this.im useing a laptop with vista ultiment ,thanks

So you're using Vista Ultimate? Are you using Ubuntu? Are you maybe trying to download an Ubuntu disk image?

in other news you could try www.ubuntu.com/download

and use a download manager called Gwget :)

internet download manager...
flashget...
orbit...
flasget from firefox...and a few otheres...and no i havent tryed ubuntu...

ok guys this is what i found out so far my problem is a connection problem=surport resume=unknow format.what this means is the connection gets cut off.when it does this the file will be corrupt .so now i will have to get my settings right next.i just want to say thanks for your help and have a safe holiday...
