After ubuntu 10.4 cannot install any windows on compaq presario V5026EA

Hello, i have laptop Compaq Presario V5026EA and i used ubuntu Linux about six months. And now i want to install windows as second OS, but i have problam with any Microsoft OS... When i am booting from install CD, after all hardware scaning (example windows xp, before license agreement page) mine laptop full shuting down. After that i tried to boot with Herien's boot cd MINI XP . it's work fine. but i cannot install any windows who i tried (xp, vista, seven).

please help me...

You need a windows forum as windows installs are not supported here. You will need to resize your partitions to make room for the windows install but any issues with installation of windows OSes are not supported here. Before you do the resize, ensure your backups are up to date in case of catastrophe. You wil also need to boot to the liveCD of ubuntu to reinstall grub the the MBR as the current one will be wiped out. You wil then ONLY be able to boot ubuntu but after you do and you run:

sudo update0-grub

all will be well

As a suggestion you can install virtualbox-ose on Ubuntu and then install Windows into a virtual pc so you can get Ubuntu and windows running in the same time.
