dell laptop show 2.9 GiB memory

Hi

My dell laptop have installed 4Gb of physical RAM and 320 GB of hard drive , ubuntu os is running on it,
but I can see my RAM size is 2.9GIB and hard drive 265 GB why it is like this? ,

You must install a 64 bit OS to access your 4 GB Ram

The Hard Drive space that you might be talking about would be size of 1 partition.
You can see the total division of Hard Drive space by checking System > Administration > Disk utility which should help you understand current state of your hard disk drive.
