ubuntu sound drivers is not available

ubuntu 10.04 sound drivers is not available for my laptop sony vaio vpceb24en.
is there sound driver is available for ubuntu 9.04 (if yes , i can use that)

Custom open source drivers should do fine. If Alsa doesn´t work, try this:
