Lexmark x2250 driver problem

Asked by blubb

With windows, I used a Lexmark x2250 All-in-One printer. With Ubuntu 6.06 it doesn´t work. I tried to find a driver for it on the web but didn´t succeed. What can I do? Ist there any way to get at least the printing functionality working?
I saw that there is a package for developing lexmark drivers on their official site but that doesn´t help me since I have no clue about how to make a driver out of that.

According to www.linuxprinting.org this printer is a paperweight, see http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Lexmark-x2250. Paperweight means that this printer is not supported and will not work on Linux.
This usually means your printer manufacturer doesn't provide printer Linux drivers for your printer like they do for Windows. Please e-mail them and ask them for Linux drivers.
If you recently bought this printer return it to the shop with the reason it has no Linux drivers included.
