Your password no longer matches that of your login keyring

I have a new installation of Ubuntu 10.04 and have now changed my password from that originally set up during installation. However, when I log in I now get a message saying that "Your password no longer matches that of your login keyring" - and I have to enter my original password.
How do I get rid of this requirement?
