USB installation

hi..I am trying to install ubuntu on my old laptop P3 with 4gb HDD. not able to boot from USB as my DVD and Floppy are not working. check BIOS but there seem no option to boot from USB. BIOS are Pheonix

Then you will need to replace one until you can get installed. You can use an optical drive from another PC to get installed. You don't have to screw it in. Just balance it on some books etc.

thanks...I am able to use DVD drive but seem this machine is too old to work as kernal problem...this machine is having only 64mb RAM and 4 GB HDD. P3. is there any chance to install the Ubuntu on it?

Sorry, but your machine isn't going to run Ubuntu.

You may wish to try one of the distros designed for lower spec machines - something like DSL or Puppy Linux would work well on your machine.
