Latest firefox update when downloading get xml error

Running Gutsy, today's updates included a new version of firefox. Can't tell what version number as clicking help>about mozilla firefox nothing happened and now clicking hekp the dropdown menu has disappeared completely.

When I download something insdtead of the normal download window I get a window with --

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: chrome://mozapps/content/downloads/downloads.xul
Line Number 1, Column 3:ul<?xml version="1.0"?>
--^

though the download still goes through.

I'll post this then shut down firefox, reboot then see what happens.

Okay, stopping and starting ff seems to have fixed it.

and the download window is normal. I had to kill the firefox process. I'll mark it fixed for now and see what the future brings.
