Ubuntu

Can't access hdb through ubuntu... help!

Hi, I'm new to ubuntu and unix for that matter, and I need to access my secondary hdd. I have all my photos, music and text documents saved there. I looked around and read all the threads and forums I could find related to this, but to no success. If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it!!

Well, maybe it does see it, and I just don't know how to sork it, haha...

-when I go to 'computer' in the GUI, it shows:
  floppy drive, cd-rom drive, cd/rw+R Drive, and Filesystem.

-when I click on filesystem>sys>bus>ide>devices, it does show 4 folders (0.0, 0.1, 1.0, &1.1).

If I understand this correctly, that means it sees the drive fine... but maybe I'm wrong...

Either way, if someone could help me at getting to the fie's, Id appreciate it.
