I installed lubuntu updated it and now it will not shut down or will reboot when clicked to do so.

I installed lubuntu updated it and now it will not shut down or will it reboot when clicked to do so.

I can force it to turn off and it will reboot. But it will not turn of or restart. It will go black.

I went to work and when I came home it was still running but in the blank window if you want to
call it.

What happens when you select shutdown. You never say and it's kinda useful information.

At first turning it off and restart would go to a blank and it is black page. I did that 1 more time before I
went to work at 12:00 am and when I came back in the morn it was still black, and the PC was still
running. I can hold the on/off button to turn it of. And it will boot in. But it will not shut down nor restart
from hitting the restart button.

I'm going to reinstall to see if that will fix it.

But if you have a fixxer upper send it just in case.

I reinstalled it and then I clicked shutdown it did. Then I rebooted and then updated and now
it will not do that. BUT!! in the terminal if I put in there sudo reboot it will..
