Old Ubuntu

Hi just a quick question. I am trying to install Ubtuntu on a really old laptop. I tried 8.04 but had no success, obviously coz the system requirements are too high for the machine.

What I want to know is where I can download even older versions of Ubuntu.

Instead of trying Ubuntu, you could have a look at Slitaz, which is very light.

Regarding security older versions aren't recommended.
But there is Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Puppy- and Dream Linux, and many others.

I got hold of DSL and it is cool, however is there an install function or do I have to use the CD every time?
